Seed Sowing Guide

1. Fill up the seedling pot with seedling soil, poke a hole from the soil with finger, pour 1 seeds into the hole and then covered with a thin layer of soil.
2. Place the seedling pots under the shade, watering once a day in the morning. The seeds would be germinated within 5 – 7 days, after that move the seedling pots to the place which expose to sunlight (no direct sunlight).
3. When the seedlings grow 3 to 4 true leaves, may thin out excess seedlings (remove weak and crowded seedlings).  Prepare to transplant the seedlings into a planting pot with a depth of 30cm or more, leave 30cm gap for each plant.
4. Top dressed with Mr Ganick 532 organic leafy fertilizer weekly for bigger and healthier leaves; During the blossom period, switch to Mr Ganick 426 organic melon vegetable fertilizer for bigger and fuller harvest.  Put the fertilizer 10 to 15cm away from plant, cover with soil, watering after fertilization.
5. Only keep main vine and a side vine with the axillary bud, remove other axillary bud. Keep only one fruit per vine.
6. Ready to be harvested when the fruit turns plump and the rind appear quite clear.

Growing Tips

To increase the fruit bearing rate, artificial pollination can be carried out in the morning session after blooming.  The result will be better for different plants pollinating.

Wax Gourd is easy to attract pests. May apply Mr Ganick Dr Neem oil in the evening after watering, in order to repel insect, twice a week.  Besides, fruits must be wrapped in paper to prevent fruit flies.

Thin leaves to make sure ventilation of plants, to avoid mealybug attack.

种植指南

1. 将育苗土装入育苗盆内并整平，然后用手指在泥土按压出一个洞，将1 颗种子播种于洞穴里，以泥土覆盖。
2. 育苗盆需放置在通风的阴凉处，每日早上浇水一次。 种子会在5-7天内发芽，然后需将育苗盆移到阳光充足的地方（不可直晒）。
3. 当幼苗长出3-4片真叶，需将弱苗拔除或疏移过拥挤的幼苗，然后将幼苗移植到深30cm或以上的种植盆，让每株的距离约为30cm。
4. 每周施放一次的Mr Ganick 532 有机叶面肥料，让树身长得健康及茂盛；在即将开花的时期，每周以Mr Ganick 426有机开瓜果肥料为主追肥一次，让瓜果果实更加肥大。宜将肥料施于离株植10cm-15cm左右，以泥土覆盖，施肥后浇水。
5. 保留主蔓和一条从下往上数第11-15节相对比较强壮的嫩芽（子蔓），摘除所有其他嫩芽，一条藤蔓只留一颗果实。
6. 当果实饱满，网纹形成并清晰浮现，用手轻按瓜脐，如感觉稍软，即可采收。

种植贴士

为了增加挂果率，开花后可于上午时段进行人工授粉。如果异株授粉，效果更佳。

小冬瓜容易引来害虫，可在傍晚时分，浇水后，喷撒Mr Ganick Dr Neem苦楝油驱虫，平均每周两次。另外，果实也必须以纸包裹，以防果蝇攻击果实。

植株叶子太繁密容易引来粉蚧，需适当疏叶，保持通风。

Cara menanam benih : 

1. Gali beberapa lubang kecil pada tanah benih
2. Letakkan 1-2 benih sayur di dalam setiap lubang dan selepasnya melindungkannya dengan pelapisan tanah yang nipis . Siram biji benih dua kali sehari sehingga biji benih bercambah .
3. Kurangkan anak benih dengan mengeluarkan anak benih yang tidak sihat atau memindahkan anak pokok apabila 3-4 daun bertumbuh. Tinggalkan biji benih yang paling sihat untuk setiap lubang . Tinggalkan jarak 30cm di antara pokok. Bina sistem sokongan untuk tumbuhan tersebut .
4. Gunakan Baba 532 organic foliage fertilizer setiap minggu apabila saiz tumbuhan menjadi besar. Selain itu , gunakan Baba 426 Organic Fruiting Fertilizer dengan meletakkan baja tersebut berjarak 10-15cm dari tumbuhan , tutup dengan tanah dan menyiram kawasan tersebut .
5. Tinggalkan cawangan utama dan cawangan sampingan dengan tunas axillary , dan mengeluarkan tunas axillary yang lain . Tinggalkan satu buah untuk satu cawangan sahaja .
6. Buah akan mencapai keremajaan apabila jaring menjadi jelas .

Tips penanaman

• Selepas bunga memekar, anda boleh menjalankan pendebungaan secara manual pada waktu pagi .
• Melon akan tertarik perosak . Semburkan enzyme setiap 3 atau 5 hari dan membungkus buah dengan kertas .
• Nipiskan daun untuk memastikan pengudaraan tumbuh dan menghalang serangan mealybug.
